This
acquisition marks the start of an encouraging new era
for DTTNCo. The move should work in the long-term interests
and benefits of all DTTN customers. The buyout will
allow DTTN a much greater scope to offer value-adding
services to meet the requirements and satisfy the demands
of DTTN customers. The primary focus will continue to
be providing electronic connections to their business
partners outside Hong Kong, particularly those in China.
DTTN will continue to offer existing
as well as new customers the same open, secure and trusted
services. DTTN will adhere to its existing pricing policy
and maintain the service pledge made to all their customers.
This incorporates the quality of service, high levels
of data security and confidentiality that their customers
have come to expect and appreciate.
DTTN
remains committed to its open position and continues
to offer unlimited licensing to anybody who requires
the use of DTTN document standards and formats. They
will also continue to develop value adding applications
and provide additional benefits to customers by working
closely with partners.
In order to guide DTTN towards goals
to best benefit the widest possible range of its users,
DTTNCo will establish an advisory board, comprising
of representatives from all areas of the business community.
This will ensure an unprecedented level of community
participation within the operation of DTTN, as well
as reinforcing the transparency of its operations.
Tradelink's
acquisition of DTTNCo will allow the company to operate
more freely in the offer of value-adding services and
to expand its business market beyond Hong Kong.
Mr. Justin Yue, Chief Executive Officer
of Tradelink, said, "The acquisition serves the
long term interest and benefits of both DTTN and DTTN's
customers and business partners. It allows DTTN to work
more closely with business partners for the development
of more quality applications, cost effective solutions
and value-adding services to meet customers' requirements.
DTTN is confident that it will meet the highest expectations
of its customers."
