KTNET Signed MOU With CyberLogitec On Shipping And Logistics
KTNET, a key enterprise for the establishment of national electronic trade infrastructure, announced that it concluded an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with CyberLogitec, an IT service provider for the trade and logistics sector, to cooperate in shipping and logistics businesses.

Under this agreement, the two companies consented to intensify services for traders and logistics companies both home and abroad in the run-up to the new U.S. regulation coming into effect that all cargo export to the U.S. shall be declared one day before it is loaded.

In regard to their agreement, the two firms will enhance mutual cooperation in three significant fields as below.

  • Link user systems at home and abroad to set-up infrastructure to support maritime CSI (Container Security Initiative) as well as intensify marketing and promotional strategies with regard to domestic and foreign customs authorities
  • Develop mutual systems linkages
  • Exchange information and best practices

The services under this contract will allow traders and transport companies access to more convenient and upgraded Internet trade EDI services (www.exedi.com) and Web MFCS (Manifest Consolidation System) provided by KTNET and to obtain clearance efficiently at U.S. customs through the steering network of CyberLogitec.

A KTNET official said, "By employing this mutually-established maritime CSI support system, traders can reduce the document closing time and track freight shipments in real- time. Moreover, shipping companies and forwarders can also access shipping information online and link it with their own network systems."
