This is to remind carriers that Government has announced
electronic submission of ocean and river cargo manifests
would become mandatory with effect from 16 June
2006.
To prepare for the full migration to electronic submission
on 16 June 2006, all ocean and river carriers are urged
to take immediate actions to get ready an appropriate end
user solution to use the EMAN service.
In order to ensure the flat-file interface developed by
ocean and river carriers meets with the Government’s
requirements, Tradelink and the Government have made arrangement
from 2 May 2006 to 30 May 2006 for carriers
to conduct joint testing of the EMAN service. This is a
great opportunity to clear any unforeseeable technical problems
before the full migration. To join the joint testing, simply
complete the enrollment form (you may download
the enrollment form and the related Joint Test Procedures
and Guidelines here).
For customers who are going to use our standalone LogiNet
software to prepare and submit EMAN, we have also made available
a series of training classes in May 2006 on the use of the
software. To enroll, please
