Questions & Tips

Anti-virus & Internet Connection

An internet connection breakdown is among some of the reasons experienced by customers for failing to submit their trade declarations properly. In some cases, anti-virus programs installed by customers to their computers are sometimes the causes to the breakdown, as a normal anti-virus program will usually take a few minutes to scan the messages before they are sent out over the internet. We would like to advise customers to disconnect the internet connection at least after FIVE minutes they have submitted the trade declarations, thereby allowing time for their anti-virus program to scan the messages and the software to continue to send the transactions over the internet. We would also like to recommend that customers to ensure they have the latest anti-virus program installed in order that all incoming or outgoing messages are scanned completely for viruses to avoid unwanted computer breakdowns.
