Hong Kong Import and Export Classification List (Harmonised System)
2009 Amendments |
The
Census and Statistics Department announced that the amendments of
Hong Kong Imports and Exports Classification List (Harmonised System)
in 2009 would take effect from 1 January 2009. Tradelink delivered
the "2009 Harmonised System Code" and "2009 Calendar
Table" Upgrade Directive to the inbox of your ValuNet Deluxe
software via the "Smart Upgrade" in early December 2008.
The first time you login the ValuNet Deluxe software on or after 1
January 2008, the "Smart Upgrade" will be executed automatically.

| Arrangement
on 2009 HS Codes Transition |
 Apart
from the upgrade to the 2009 HS Codes, customers are reminded to
use the 2008 HS Codes in import or export declarations
for 2008 shipments which are lodged on or before 14 January 2009.
With effect from 15 January 2009, you should use
the new 2009 HS Codes in all declarations regardless of the shipment
dates.

to Install your New ID-Cert? |
 As
a ValuNet Deluxe software user, you should install the renewed ID-Cert
to the ValuNet Deluxe software as soon as you receive the renewed
ID-Cert and the PIN Mailer (new password) from Digi-Sign Certification
Services Limited. If you are using the WebForm application, you
do not have to install the renewed ID-Cert. For customers who are
still using the expired ID-Cert, please update your renewed ID-Cert
to prevent errors.
