The Pan-Asian E-Commerce Alliance (PAA) held the 17th Steering Committee meeting in Taipei from 17 to 18 November 2004. Dr. Chen Jenn Nan, Chairman of the PAA and Trade-Van's CEO, said, 'We are very proud to announce that the APEC ECSG (Electronic Commerce Steering Group) has officially recognized PAA's effort in promoting cross border electronic trade documentation services by according PAA a guest status in future APEC ECSG meetings.' In reference to the Notice to Exporters issued by the Trade and Industry Department (TID) on 15 October 2004, customers are reminded that all quantitative restrictions on textiles and clothing products among Members of the WTO (including Hong Kong) will come to an end by 1 January 2005. As a result, customers should note the special arrangements effective from 2005 onwards. Details.
